This isn't a review for these particular boots, rather a complaint about the company itself. I bought a pair of Palladium boots a few years ago from a physical store. The next day, as I was walking to work, the zipper on one of the boots popped open. I managed to close it back up but it continued opening all day. So I took them back to the store and asked for an exchange. He called me back the next day and said that Palladium doesn't have a policy for exchanging defective merchandise -- apparently they believe that they make shoes of too high a quality to NEED an exchange policy. The store owner paid for a new zipper to be put in that boot, which was very nice of him, even though I didn't think it was his problem. A few months later I had to replace the zipper on the other boot. I see claims of high quality and durability all over Palladium's website, but the fact that they refuse to acknowledge the possibility of creating a boot with a crappy zipper tells a different story. The zippers that the shoe repairmen put in to fix the boots were waaaaay sturdier than the ones that came with the shoe. When I pay $250 for a shoe, it seems reasonable to expect that they will be made of materials that can hold up in everyday use. They sure do look nice, but they're hastily made in China with the bare minimum of attention - like any other shoe. Don't believe their "since 1947" rhetoric.

I want these boots to be the perfect boots....they are so comfortable and I love the look. However, I've now owned a pair for a year, and they slouch at the ankles, which doesn't look cute when worn with skirts or dresses. I can only wear these boots with pants now, which is okay, but I am a little disappointed. If there was only some way to keep these from bunching at the ankle, they would be perfect.

I love these boots, they are very comfortable, fashionable and durable the only negative is they are very narrow in the calf area and you have to struggle to zip them even over skinny jeans so you have to wear thin socks and very thin pants/leggings/jeans.

I was nervous buying this boot because of the sizing. I wear a 7.5, and rarely can wear a 7. But i read the reviews and bought the 7, and they fit perfectly! They are also quite comfortable. I found them not to be tight at the calves at all, even a little loose. But the leather is nice and soft and they're very cute. You can walk for many miles in these. I wish I had black ones too!

After looking for years (yes, years!) for a nice pair of tall brown leather boots, I was about to give up on finding a decent pair under $175. I was about to order something more expensive when I came across these. After reading the reviews I decided for this price they were worth a shot. I usually err on the larger side of 7.5 for sizing, but got the 7 after reading the recommendations. They fit great, the leather is nice, I love the flat heel and the rubber edging provides some protection for the leather. These are riding boots that one might actually wear to go riding - that's how sturdy they are. I received lots of compliments on them and noticed after one wearing the shaft felt roomier, which is nice for my muscular calves. I can actually tuck a pair of jeans in there and zip them up. Yay!
